I learned to cook in God's Country, i.e. the South, by watching my grandmother work her magic in the kitchen. I love to cook and create new recipes and I've learned 1 thing along the way that would make my grandmother roll in her grave - everything does not taste better deep fried! I try to lighten up recipes without losing any of the flavor. I believe that children should be exposed to a variety of foods at a very young age. After all, it's a big world out there so why shouldn't they be prepared to take full advantage of all the culinary possibilities? I am absolutely addicted to cooking magazines and cookbooks although I firmly believe that recipes are only guidelines and should be tailored to fit your own taste buds. After all, if you don't like what you're cooking, then what's the point?!?
