The Senate is scheduled to vote on the internet censorship bill on Tuesday, January 24th, and unless we can find 41 senators to block the vote, it is going to pass. Will you join us in meeting with Senator Lieberman and Senator Blumenthal during the January recess and ask them to vote it down?
It is my understanding that both Senator Lieberman and Senator Blumenthal will vote to censor internet publishing. If you cherish your rights to post and comment freely on the internet, then you need to join us in meeting with our Senators. They will not listen to just one voice; however, if we organize enough voices, they will then listen to us.
Once again, internet censorship is going to a vote in the Senate on January 24th (known as PIPA in the Senate and SOPA in the House). While Senators are in their home states for the January recess, we need to flood their public meetings and offices with our concerns about the bill.
Congress is about to pass internet censorship, even though the vast majority of Americans are opposed. We need to kill the bill - PIPA in the Senate and SOPA in the House - to protect our rights to free speech, privacy, and prosperity.
