Rotary Schedules Golf Tourney; Awarding Scholarships

Berlin High School students can apply for scholarships in guidance office.

The Kensington-Berlin Rotary Club announces its Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

Proceeds from the event will go towards Berlin High School Scholarships. The tournament is open to anyone and will be held on June 15 at Timberlin Golf Course with a noon shotgun start.

Golfer registration is $100 per player which includes golf, hole-in-one contest’s, beverages and snacks throughout the course, a free gift bag, lunch and dinner.

The Hole-in-One will give players the opportunity to win a Ford F-150.

Kensington-Berlin Rotary Club to Sponsor Scholarships

 The Kensington-Berlin Rotary Club is sponsoring two scholarships for the 2010-2011 school year.   

The scholarships will be awarded to a graduating Berlin High School senior boy and girl who will be attending a two or four year college or university in the fall. 

In keeping with the Rotary theme of “Service above Self”, the recipients of these scholarships should show a history of volunteerism and community service.  The applications will be accepted until Friday, May 13.
