Feed My Starving Children Will Collect In Berlin

Organization is asking for small donations which would make a big difference.

Over 3 days, August 25 to August 28, over 1,000 community volunteers from 40 organizations, businesses and churches will volunteer two-hour shifts to hand pack sustenance meals at the Central Connecticut Feed My Starving Children (fmsc.org) MobilePack event to be held at the CL&P warehouse in Berlin.

For the second consecutive year, an entire shipping container of 272,000 meals of rice, soy and vitamins will be sent to the children of Swaziland, Africa.

Organizers must pay for the food costs and supply volunteer labor to pack meals. The food is free to the recipient, they pay only the shipping costs. Each meal costs $0.19 putting the target goal at over $51,000 by 12/31/11.
