Dan and Theresa Lee Honored By Connecticut Sportswriters Alliance

They have turned Ryan Lee Foundation into multi-faceted source of giving.

The Ryan T. Lee Memorial Foundation was founded in 2011 as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to remembering the life and legacy of a special young man. Inspired by the selfless support of friends and family, the foundation was created as a way to transform a tragic loss into positive change. It is our hope that the charitable efforts of this organization will impact the lives of others in a manner that would make Ryan proud.

The Ryan T. Lee Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the enduring spirit of a special young man by actively seeking out opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others. The Foundation is committed to identifying effective ways to help individuals reach their goals and realize their dreams.

Sunday, Dan and Theresa Lee of Berlin were honored by the Connecticut Sportswriters Alliance at the Annual Gold Key Dinner as the foundation was chosen to win a John Wentworth Good Sports Award.

Also winning were: Alton Brooks (New Britain); Sid DiMaggio (New London County); Bob Fontaine (Middletown/Bethel); Bill Pucci (Derby/Ansonia) and Jim Tommins (Fairfield County).

Lee, Cheshire Teacher of the Year and boy's basketball coach, also contributes money from the foundation to worthy causes in Cheshire.
