Berlin Native Working To Save HoneyBee

Website and special event shines light on honeybee trouble.

Ned and Sharyn Farrell are in the last few days of their Bee Happy Hive Drive.

They are raising money to get educational materials and more beekeeping equipment so they can teach people why the honeybees are in trouble, and what we can all do about it!

This is an all-or-nothing campaign, and our deadline is noon on Thursday, March 15. The Farrells have fantastic gifts, including a Live look into a beehive with them over Skype that people can give to their kids' school.

"The honeybee in the United States is in trouble," said Ned Farrell, a Berln native who now lives in Clinton. "Because of numerous environmental stresses, honeybee numbers in the U.S. are dwindling at an alarming rate. Without the honeybee to take care of pollination and to create the hive products, we are also in trouble."

Visit our site today, pledge to a great cause, and receive some great gifts in return.
