Berlin Fairgrounds to Host Bark For Life

Tucker invites all his furry friends to the second annual Bark For Life sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

The American Cancer Society Bark For Life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.

One local dog is barking in support of the American Cancer Society for the second year in a row with help from his dedicated family and friends. Tucker of Southington participated in 2010 and raised $600. He has already raised nearly $700 for this year’s event and is still sniffing out help from his local neighbors.

The American Cancer Society Bark For Life is more than just an event to him. It is his personal opportunity to help save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays by supporting the American Cancer Society. Last year he chose to participate to remember the loved ones his parents have lost to cancer. This year however, he has a new reason to walk; his baby sister, Ella. He is walking and raising funds to find a cure so that his baby sister will never hear the words “you have cancer.”
