Youth Sports: Boltz Soccer Team Off To Super Start

Berlin U10 girls have been impressive.

The Berlin Boltz U10 girls soccer team is off to a hot start this fall season.

Berlin 8, Cromwell Chill 3: Amy Kuckel led the offense along with Lea Cabral and Emma Norton.

Berlin 8, Portland Fire 1: Lexi Martino sored two goals, one from 25 yards out to lead the offense. Niah Samboy also scored her first goal.

Berlin 5, Wethersfield 0: The Boltz broke from a scoreless tie at halftime to score five goals in the second half.

Berlin 5, Bristol 2: The Boltz beat Bristol for the first time in four tries. Rebecca Mayer and Hailey Nardelli scored two goals each while Sierra Villella added the other to lead the offense. Lexi Martino and Amy Kuckel controlled the midfield while the defense was led by Maria Butrimas, Nikki Baedor, Marta Mazurek, Hannah Smolicz and Lily Sokolowski.

Berlin 3, Manchester Fury 0: Demry Gdovin's goal broke a scoreless tie midway through the second half and Berlin went on to seal the victory.

The Boltz goaltending group of Kaitlin DeCamp, Olivia Smith, Lily Sokolowski, Kelly Brett and Julia Daddario has been stellar.
