Mitch Williams threw six touchdown passes and went 16-of-18 for 320 yards as the Redcoats rolled out to a big lead and never looked back in its season opener.
Wiliams hit big tight end Tyler Bouchard for a 16-yard touchdown to start the scoring. He then hit Scott McLeod for two of his four towuchdowns on the day in the first quarter.The first was a 16-yard strike and the second a 26-yard connection as Berlin led 20-0 to start the game. Williams would hit Kyle Young for a 21-yard touchdown to give Berlin a 26-6 lead after one quarter.
Williams added two more touchdown passes to McLeod in the second quarter for a 40-6 halftime lead.
Wojtus Zak punched in a one-yard touchdown run and Berlin recorded a safety for the final margin.
Berlin should get a much tougher test this Friday when the Redcoats play host to Rocky Hill in their home opener at 7 p.m. at Scalise Field.
