Berlin 12-year-olds win District Five banner.

The Berlin All Stars won the District Five championship Friday night at Recreation Park in Southington.

They beat Farmington 5-3 behind the pitching of Brendan Ebert. Jack Lynch earned the save. Ebert struck out eight while only allowing two walks. 

Berlin's runs came by way of a three-run homer by Vin Biscoglio and a two-run shot by Jake Loiselle, both former Farm League Cardinals.

Berlin advances to the sectional tournament and will play the winner of District One Wednesday at 5:30 in Orange.
