Swimmers Second at CCC South Meet

A surprising result for Redcoats.

The Berlin swim team surprised its CCC opponents and perhaps themselves in finishing second in the CCC South meet after a tough season.

"Wow where to start with yesterday's conference meet," Berlin coach Eileen Thurston said. "We finished second in the meet beating both Bristol Co-op and Plainville who beat us in the dual meet season. We also had two new school records."

Dan Klotz in the 50 free with a time of 22.30 and Vinny Fischer in the 100 Back with a time of 58.24 both set school records.
