Newington-Berlin ice hockey improved to 14-2 with a 6-2 win over Rocky Hill-RHAM-Middletown Wednesday night at the Champions Skating Center in Cromwell.
Rocky Hill/RHAM/Middletown now is 7-10-1.
Both schools compete in CIAC Division III.
Newington-Berlin clinched the CCC-South Conference with the win.
The team scored four goals in the second period on their way to victory.
"We hung with a very talented team for a period and a half," said Rocky Hill head coach Sean Cole. “We played hard until the final seconds of the game! I'm proud of the way my guys competed.”
The two teams will play at Newington Ice Arena on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
