Registration is now open for the Berlin Parks and Recreation basketball program for boys and girls in grades 3 – 9. (Grade 9 is for girls only.)
You may register by mail or by visiting the Parks and Recreation Department at 230 Kensington Road. Hours are Monday – Wednesday, 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
All children who register will be placed on a team through a draft process after player evaluations take place on Saturday, November 10. Teams practice once a week and play games on Saturdays.
Travel team members are not eligible to play in this Parks and Rec league. If you are selected for a travel team after you register for this program, your money will be refunded. Students may play for both McGee and this league.
Children should receive information about the program in school. It is also available on the Parks and Recreation website: http://www.town.berlin.ct.us/content/195/235/1319/default.aspx.
The deadline to register is 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 1—if space is still available.
Registration forms are available on the website or by clicking on the pdf that accompanies this article.
The cost is $70 if you register before November 1. A late fee of $80 will be charged until November 9. The fee for children who register after evaluations take place on November 10 will be $90.
Information about the grade 2 basketball program will be available in the Parks and Rec Winter Brochure in November.
