"The field was very competitive this year in the 400 meters and Catherine needed to run a flawless race to qualify," Berlin coach Steve Soucy said. "She focused most of the second half of the season on two things.  First, the first 100 meters of the race. Second, to maintain her form in the final 100 meters. She got out to a great start hitting the 100m mark in 13.2 and held her form through the finish. Most of the girls in the field ended up 4/10 to 5/10 of a second off their seed time, but Catherine was able to keep in within a few hundreths."

Seniors Kate Piotrowicz, Alex Carbonell and Kaylene Sylvain wrapped up their seasons with very respectable finishes. Piotrowicz placed 15th in discus, Carbonell 19th in the 800 meters and Sylvain 15th as part of the 4x400m relay team.
