Steve Yanosy is the current Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Berlin High School. He has been the women’s coach for 10 years.
Coach Yanosy’s teams have recently won, four Conference titles, 1 Conference Tournament Title and have qualified for the Class “L” tournament in all of his years coaching. He has compiled a 130-36-11 record.
Coach Yanosy has been named the Connecticut Girls High School Coaches Association “Coach of the Year” and been President of the Connecticut Girls Soccer Coaches Association for 4 years.
David Francalangia is the current Head Men’s Coach at Berlin High School and he has held that past for 12 years. Under Coach Franco’s guidance, the Boy’s team has captured NWC title and has been a perennial State Tournament Qualifier. Including hosting a “quarter-final” game this year and reaching last years class “L” Semi-final. Coach has been named NWC Coach of the Year. In his playing days Coach played at, NCAA Division I, Villanova University, where he was a four-year starter. Coach was named Rookie of the year for the Philadelphia Soccer Seven conference and Big East conference. Received all academic and player of the week awards. Coach competed professional with the Connecticut Wolves.
Coach Yanosy and Coach Francalangia are State of Connecticut Certified Coaches and hold current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
