Boys golf turns in impressive score.

 

BOYS GOLF

Berlin 152, Bristol Eastern 180 

The Redcoats moved to 5-0 with a solid score and win ovet Bristol Eastern on Thursday.

Berlin scores were: Jeremy Desimone 37, Austin Forauer 37, Connor Bowen and Ryan Marquis 39 each.

"It was a solid performance building on yesterday's scores," Berlin coach John Line said. "This is a positive start, but we know we need to keep improving. Jeremy is playing well with good focus."

SOFTBALL

Bristol Central 4, Berlin 3

Berlin led 3-0 through six innings but seven straight Bristol Central batters reached base in the top of the seventh inning to score four runs and take the lead. The one run lead was enough to hand Berlin its first loss of the season.

Erin McKinnon and Kaitlyn Guild had RBI singles in the fourth inning to give Berlin a 2-0 lead.

Brittany Labbadia added a home run in the fifth inning to make it 3-0.

Sophomore Mikayla Harris cruised through through the first six innings but took the loss after allowing four runs in the top of the seventh inning.

Berlin is 3-1 and plays Bristol Eastern Monday.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Berlin 10, Bacon Academy 5

Cassidy Goodwin scored four goals to lead Berlin past Bacon Academy.

Jenn Straub and Bianca Jacques added two goals each and Olivia Martino and Bridget White added one goal each for the winners.

Berlin goalie Nicole Damboise recorded eight saves between the pipes.

"The Berlin girls continue to show their growth with another excellent performance," Berlin coach Laura Abbatemarco said. "Outstanding in goal was Nicole Damboise who had some incredible saves."
