"It's good to get a victory in our first match of the year," Berlin coach Jim Barnes said "I know some of the girls were not happy with their individual scores but it was one of those crazy days where everybody had one or two horrible holes that ruined their day. Lots of pars, some birdies and then a few train wrecks. The girls actually played much better than their scores indicated.  I'm sure lower scores will show up as we progress through the season."

Berlin's next match is Monday at Middletown.
