Boys Golf Fourth At CCC Tourney

Wind keeps scores up.

The Berlin boys golf team finished fourth at the CCC Championships with a team score of 324.

Windy conditions affected scoring.

Farmington won with a 314, Northwest was second with 318, Simsbury came in third just one shot back and Berlin followed with their 324.

East Catholic with 325, Glastonbury at 326 and Wethersfield at 328 followed in fifth through eighth place.

Monte Mullin of Farmington was medalist with a 73

Berlin's Pat Bostrom tied for eighth with a 77. Kevin Jud shot 80, Brendon Hull shot 82 and Jeremy Desimone added an 85 for the Redcoats.

"We're not elated with the results or even all that happy, but we're not disappointed either," Berlin coach John Line said. "We were seeded fourth and we finished fourth.

"Pat played well, but the others all feel like they could have saved five shots each. Kevin suffered some tough bounces. He hit the pin on the par 3 8th and it kicked away to 30 feet. The fortunate thing is we should get another chance on Monday at states."
