Bovee MVP, All-ECAC New England Basketball Selection

Former BHS player has added to her game.

 

Kaitlyn Bovee finished her sophomore basketball season with team MVP honors for the Roger Williams University’s Women’s Basketball team finishing off a sensational year.

Bovee has accumulated 665 points (400 this year) and over 400 rebounds in her first two years. Bovee was named to the First Team All Commonwealth Conference and was also named to the New England Eastern Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) Second Team.

An inside player most of her career at Berlin High School, Bovee has developed a good three-point shot as evidenced by her team-leading 48 threes for the season. She earned RWU Female Athlete of the Week twice during the season and was named in the New England Womens’ Basketball Association Honor Roll one week. She has been named co-captain for next year’s team.

This past season, Bovee led the team in scoring at 15.4 points per game and was second in field goal percentage at 45.7 percent. On the year, she scored in double figures in 22 of 26 games, including a season-high 26 against Curry College on February 2. This marks Bovee's first selection to the ECAC All-Star team.

She is the daughter of Donna and Bart Bovee.
