Berlin's Blanchette, Main Participate in Inaugural All-Star Football Game

The Hall of Fame Classic Military Bowl was a showcase for the state's best high school senior football players.

Offensive lineman Mitch Blanchette and defensive back Kevin Main represented Berlin High School Saturday in the first Hall of Fame Classic Military Bowl at Rentschler Field in East Hartford.

The summer football game, which was organized by the Connecticut High School Coaches Association, included some of Connecticut's top high school football seniors from this past season.

Xavier of Middletown quarterback Tim Boyle's two touchdowns helped the National Guard team defeat the Marines team, 15-14, according to a story in the Hartford Courant. Both Redcoats played for the National Guard squad. 

Offensive lineman Hector Rodriguez was slated to play but did not because of an injury.
