Northwest beat a talented St. Joseph-Trumbull team, 4-1, in the state title game.

Northwest allowed the least goals in school history, just 10 on the season in 20 games. Dornfried recorded 11 shutouts as the team went undefeated with one tie, 19-0-1.

Dornfried has been a field player growing up serving as a back-up goalie on various teams but when Northwest had an opening in goal, she jumped at the chance to start and the move paid big dividends. She will likely move back to a field player next year.
