The Berlin High JV football team manhandled Northwest Catholic High on Monday afternoon, in West Hartford, by a score of 36-0. The victory moved the JV team's record to 4-0.
Anthony Sisti scored three touchdowns, two on runs and one on a pass from QB Alec Norton. Sisti and Norton, both sophomores, added two-point conversions on runs, and Norton also passed for a conversion to receiver Nate Campbell.
Early in the second half Berlin's lead grew to 26-0 on an interception return for a touchdown by defensive lineman Mike Burek.
Berlin's last touchdown came on a pass from FB Dan McLeod to Connor Morrin.
Berlin's defense held NWC in check all day, with a strong pass rush and blitzing linebackers sacking or pressuring the opposing QBs.
The JV football team has only lost one game over the past three seasons.
