Scheyd fires 41 to earn medalist honors.

The Berlin Redcoats girls golf team moved its 2011 record to 2-0 with a convincing 182-252 victory over Manchester today at Timberlin Golf Course.

The Redcoats were led by senior co-captain Alyssa Scheyd who claimed medalist honors with a very strong round of 41. Junior co-captain Victoria Fagan contributed a very well-played round of 43. Emily Stickel and Caroline D'Attilio rounded out the scoring with very respectable scores of 48 and 50 respectively.

"Alyssa and Victoria are really playing well particularly for this early in the season," Berlin coach Jim Barnes said. "I fully expect to see both girls break 40 in the very near future. They both have all the tools necessary to break 40 consistently. They just need avoid mental mistakes, no double bogeys, and believe in how good they really are."
