The Berlin Bears, who have more than 125 players on six football teams and nearly 100 cheerleaders on four teams, kicked off the 2012 season with a grand opening at Scalise Field Wednesday night.
All six of the football teams and the four cheer teams were introduced to the crowd.
Barbers from Amenta's Barber Shop were also on hand to give the players pre-season mohawks or fauxhawks.
