The Berlin Public School System is pleased to announce a townwide preschool screening. Berlin residents who are between the ages of 2 years 6 months and 4 years 8 months by January 27, 2012 are eligible to participate.
The test will screen in the areas of language, motor and social skills and provide you with information about your child's development, strengths and weaknesses. The screening will also assist the school district to identify children who may be in need of additional evaluation.
The screening will serve as part of Berlin's CHILD FIND, a federally-mandated activity that seeks to identify children with physical, mental and/or emotional disabilities which would impair their ability to learn.
The Preschool Round-up will take place at the Berlin Community Center on Kensington Road on January 27, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m and January 28 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., by appointment only. Time and date will be dependent upon your child's age. Appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please phone Lisa or JoAnn at (860) 828-6581 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. between January 3 to January 20 schedule a time for your youngster's screening.
