McGee School Evacuated Because of Strange Odor
School gets all clear and students' day not disturbed.
Just after 7:40 a.m. this morning, fire crews were called to McGee Middle School for a strange odor on the second floor.
The building was metered and no unordinary readings were recorded. Building
maintenance and Connecticut Natural Gas were on the scene but nothing out of the ordinary was found.
The all-clear came quickly and students arriving by bus were allowed to either enter the school or re-enter the school depending on what time they arrived at the school.
