A win and a tie leaves girls 2-1-1: "We had two very tough games for our girls," Berlin coach Steve Yanosy said of the 2-1 win over Bristol Central and the 0-0 tie against Bristol Easterm. "Especially in the midst of a four games in seven day portion of our schedule.

"In the BC game we playued hard and we played well. We were able to find the net twice with goals from Kira Eleveld and from Shannon Murphy. Robyn Riggott played well in net only allowing her second goal of the season.

"In the BE game we played great defensively allowing only a few long range shots but we could not find the back of the net. We had a few great opportunities but we were unable to capitalize on them. I know as the season goes on and our offense begins to click those shots will go in. It is early and we are starting to create some good chances."

Up next is Platt

"They have surprised a bunch of teams this year, beating a good BE team and taking a tough Middletown team to OT before losing," Yanosy added. "Should be another tough one on friday night."
