Fagan Proves To Be Dual Threat

Headed to college on golf scholarship, BHS senior shows off her talent in art.

Fagan, who will attend Long Island University on a golf scholarship this fall, proved she is multi-talented.

Victoria Fagan's artwork has been awarded the Gold Key Award in the Drawing category and her work was selected for exhibit in the 2012 Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Awards

She was presented the Gold Key Award on Sunday, January 29 at the Hartford Art School.

Her work was chosen by a panel of over 30 judges viewing all of the submitted CT art work from over 130 schools and additional home schooled/ independent entries. This year, the total number of entries topped 1.500 works.

Fagan, as a senior at BHS, has been no stranger in the Art Department as she pursues her career goals of studying Architecture.

"We are very proud of her and wish her all the best," Principal Francis Kennedy said.

Her drawing titled "Click!" (attached), was done in graphite on 18"x24" white paper.
