Eighth Graders Invited To BHS Expo

BHS Expo and Eighth Grade Curriculum and Activities Night to be held on Monday, February 6 from 7 to 9 p.m.

 

The administration and faculty of Berlin High School announces the first annual “BHS Expo and Eighth Grade Curriculum and Activities Night” to be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m. 

Berlin community members are invited to attend the Expo from 7 to 8 p.m., while the grade 8 students and their parents will be engaged in an orientation presentation in the auditorium for the first hour.

For the second hour, at 8 p.m., the eighth graders and their parents will be guided to the Expo, which will feature display tables and booths organized by department stationed throughout the building. 

Upon arrival, grade 8 students, parents, and community guests will receive a site map that will indicate the locations of each department and co-curricular area booth.

This event will celebrate Berlin High School’s extensive program offerings as outlined in the 2012-2013 BHS Program of Studies, which features multiple new elective courses including:  AP World History, Catastrophic Events in Science, Busting Myths in Science, Astronomy, Meteorology, and Baking and Pastry Arts II. 

"There have been many exciting changes and improvements at Berlin High School, and the community is welcome to meet the staff and student representatives who help to make all of them possible," said Berlin High School Principal Francis Kennedy.
