Community Foundation of Greater New Britain Awards Scholarships

Mallory Brochu, Carley Calafiore, Kristen E. Cavaliere, Nicholas Couceiro, Nicole Dean, Paulina Drozdzrowski, Shannon Jedrzejczyk, James Kissane, Paulina Mielicka, Andrea Pomponio, Jaclyn Rubin, Michael Scheyd and Sara Zukowski recently received scholarships from the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain (CFGNB) to pursue their college degrees. 

CFGNB manages 40 various scholarship funds created by individuals or organizations designed to support high school seniors and college students with financial support in their pursuit of a college degree.   

“Education truly is a gateway to opportunity. Helping local students achieve their higher education goals is both rewarding and inspirational. These CFGNB scholarships are so important in building a bright future for the students, and they also improve our community as a whole. The scholarships are made possible by generous donors. Anyone who values education and wants to make a positive difference in the lives of current local students can do so as a donor to one of our many excellent scholarship funds,” said James Jones, Chair of the Scholarship Committee.

Students or parents interested in learning more about applying in the future for the many scholarships managed by CFGNB should contact their high school’s guidance department.
