'Bravo,' Bravo'

Six elementary students, two from each school, honored as 'Berlin Bravos' at Board of Education meeting.

Six students, two from each elementary school in town, were honored at the Berlin Board of Education meeting Monday night as Berlin Bravos.

From Griswold School, the award winners were: Lillian Bierwirth and Samantha Negrao. From Hubbard were: Rebecca Mayer and Samuel Enes. From Willard were: Dan Cervoni and Evan Crowley.

The students were praised for being team players, achieving the goals they set for themselves, helping others and generally standing out in their classroom as well as their school.

The principal from each respective schools spoke about their students and members of the Board of Education presented each student with a certificate of recognition.

The certificate read: "The student has been awarded the 'Berlin Bravos' certificate of recognition for being an exceptional student who consistently rises to the classroom expectations and serves as a constant role model for peers."
