Dear Parents and Guardians,

I want to make you aware of information that has reached me through a colleague of mine. Apparently a virus in the form of a disturbing pornographic video involving a young child is attacking Facebook. The video has been received by several Farmington High School students on their personal Facebook accounts.According to the Superintendent of Farmington, their local police have learned that the virus comes as a friend sharing a video. If the video is opened, it attaches to an individuals Facebook account and is shared to Facebook friends o the person who opened the virus. They have also learned from the police that this video is likely to affect numerous students because the individual who alerted the police was a student who opened the video.

The video is reportedly very graphic and would be very disturbing to students. If your child has a Facebook account, please alert him/her to refrain from clicking on any shared videos. If the shared video can be deleted please delete it immediately. The Hartford Police Department is also involved in the situation and has been in contact with the FBI, as well.
