The snow has started to accumulate and Berlin schools have announced they will dismiss on an early schedule Tuesday.

The schools were in session Tuesday morning as snow had not yet started by first bell. But as the white powder began accumulating, the decision was made to go with early dismissal.

The district will operate on a half day schedule. Extracurricular activities will also be cancelled though town meetings for Tuesday evening are expected to continue as scheduled.

You've got to be kidding! A whole 1/4 dusting and they're closing the schools? Any further accumulation, if any, won't happen until well after they'd be closed for the day anyways. And this is the the Northeast, one would think they'd be used to winter weather by now. Ridiculous.
