Berlin High School Unity Team Will Celebrate End Of Year

High School Unity Teams are student-developed teams focused on reducing bias, bullying, and harassment in schools.

An end-of-year celebration will be held on Wednesday, May 15 for the High School Unity Teams program facilitated by the Capitol Region Education Council’s Division of Teaching & Learning on behalf of the Hartford Region Open Choice Program.   

High School Unity Teams are student-developed teams focused on reducing bias, bullying, and harassment in schools. These teams attended a training facilitated by CREC in November featuring the developer of Unity Teams and author of The Respectful SchoolStephen Wessler.

At least nine high school Unity Teams will attend the end of year celebration to share their work this year and to participate in team building and planning for the 2013-2014 school year. 

Teams from the following schools are confirmed to be attending: Cromwell High School, Berlin High School, East Windsor High School, CREC Medical Professions and Teacher Preparation Academy, CREC Public Safety Academy, Rockville High School, Rocky Hill High School, Enfield High School, and Enrico Fermi High School (Enfield).   

The event will be held at the Boathouse at Riverside Park, located at 20 Leibert Road, Hartford, CT 06106 from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
