This 6th place finish is a remarkable improvement over 2012 when the ensemble placed 11th out of 16 ensembles.

Mr. Raymond Sinclair, the high school's director of Jazz, is pleased with the results and is “glad that music and jazz in Berlin are now competing at the national level and the Berlin Studio Jazz Ensemble is now one of the premier, high school, jazz ensembles in Connecticut."
