MEETING AGENDA – Immediately Following the Audience of Citizens

CONSENT AGENDA:

1.     Topic re: Approve waiving the fee of $110.00 associated with Inland Wetlands and Water Courses Commission, Application 12-11W proposed by Eagle Scout Candidate Collin Brown. – Inland Wetlands

2.     Topic re: Accept donations totaling $4,600.00 for Berlin-Peck Memorial Library and deposit to the Agency Fund from which related purchases will be made. – Library

3.     Topic re: Allow the Chief of Police to apply for the FY 2013 Comprehensive DUI Enforcement Program and that the town’s share of this program will be taken out of the Police Overtime Account for amount not to exceed $20,048.50. – Police Department

4.     Topic re: Accept the donation of $110.00 from Lance and Alison Carter and deposit the funds into the Drug Enforcement Special Grants and Donations Fund and appropriate the funds to the Drug Enforcement Operating Materials (DARE) Expenditure Account. – Police Department

5.     Topic re: Refer the Municipal Garage Building Modifications to the Public Building Commission pursuant to Section 8-1123 of the Town of Berlin’s Charter. – Municipal Garage

NEW BUSINESS:

1.     Topic re: Report out to the Town Council regarding the Berlin High School renovation project. – Town Clerk

2.     Topic re: Authorize the award of the snow plowing of Town streets to J.V. III Construction, Inc. for the bid amount of $185.00 per hour, per vehicle, with a projected expense of up to $10,000.00. – Public Works

3.     Topic re: Waive the Town of Berlin purchasing requirements and award the work to be done at East Berlin Pool to Connecticut Custom Aquatics of North Haven, CT for the price of $48,979.00.  This is in the town’s best interest. – Public Grounds

4.     Topic re: Approve the LoCIP resolution for golf cart repair and replacement and authorize the Town Manager to apply for LoCIP funding.  Appropriate $71,000 from the Capital and Nonrecurring Fund Balance to the “Cart Path Account in the Capital Projects Fund.” Award the contract for the repair and replacement of golf cart paths to Maisono Brothers for an amount not to exceed $71,000. – Golf Course

5.     Topic re: Authorize the Town Manager to enter into the portal agreement with Cott Systems. – Town Clerk
