"They are working every day and we have even contracted a service to help with tree limbs that are called hangers because we don't have equipment to deal with that," McNair said. "I know they were on Alling Street and they are working their way cross town. They are still on the west side of the railroad tracks but they are getting there."

The Highway Department is in charge of the clean up with help from Public Grounds. The Public Grounds was a big help when it came to the parks, which received extensive damage.

"They have worked every day except Thanksgiving," McNair said of the town crews. "It's a work in progress but it is steady progress."

Leaf collection will also be done and has been extended a week due to the brush and limbs at roadside.

"As part of our trash pick-up contract with Trash-Away, they pick up the leaves," McNair said. "We they will pick up the leaves during the normal trash pick-up days. Some towns have canceled leaf pick-up so they are having big trouble but we will still be picking up the leaves if they are out there."

McNair said she understands residents' concerns and frustrations.

"I totally understand and they can always call me," she said. "It makes such a mess and people have put out those limbs for a while now. I know they are worried that snow is coming and wan those limbs gone. I understand. We have been lucky because the weather has been so nice and that has helped the workers get done as much as they have. Just know that we are doing the best we can to get things cleaned up."
