PERSONAL STATEMENT: This is an important time for Berlin’s Education system. The high school renovation project has been approved, but there are four other schools that continue to need attention. More importantly, the quality of education provided to our children must continue to be a top priority, since the facilities cannot teach the children by themselves. I intend to approach this role objectively and with a mindset of ‘Is this the best solution for the issue?’ Many factors play into any decision – I will do my best for Berlin to ensure that the BoE’s decisions have the children’s best interests in mind.
