CIVIC AFFILIATIONS (Rotary, Lions, VFW, etc.): I have served as a volunteer/corporator/committee member for several organizations including: The Hospital of Central CT, Capital Workforce Partners, Berlin UpBeat, Manes & Motions, Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, Berlin YMCA, Boys & Girls Club.
PERSONAL STATEMENT: It has been an honor to serve as Mayor of the Town of Berlin for the past eight years. Over my four-terms, Farmington Avenue has undergone a revitalization with the completion of the railroad overpass, Stop & Shop Plaza, Walgreens, Veteran’s Memorial Park and the additions of Farmington Savings Bank and Liberty Bank. We have acquired open space, attracted new businesses like the new Chef’s Equipment Store, invested in infrastructure improvements at McGee School and successfully secured funding for the High School renovation. This has all been accomplished while growing the grand list and maintaining sensible fiscal policies.
