Board of Education To Interview Residents To Fill Board Vacancy

Board is requesting that interested citizens come forward to serve on Board of Education.

The Berlin Board of Education is looking to fill a vacancy on the Board following Tuesday’s election.  As a non-partisan board of education, the Board will solicit and select a new member from interested residents, regardless of party affiliation or prior political experience.

The individual selected by the Board will serve through the next election. Berlin residents who are registered voters and interested in serving on the Board of Education should contact the board offices, by phone or in writing, expressing their interest in serving on the Board. All candidates must indicate their interest in serving no later than Monday, December 5, 2011.

According to Board President, Gary Brochu, “this is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who are sincerely committed to the success of Berlin schools and students to serve their community. The current members of the Board have worked hard to develop and implement a vision of continuous improvement for our schools, and we welcome individuals who want to be part of this effort to come forward.”
