Blumenthal Said CL&P CEO's Resignation is the 'First Step'

Jeffrey Butler's resignation was a 'necessary measure' in a 'failed system,' United States senator said.

U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal released the following statement on the resignation of Connecticut Light and Power CEO Jeffrey Butler.

"This first step is one of many significant measures necessary to remedy CL&P’s failed system and restore public trust," Blumenthal said. "I will continue to fight for systemic reforms that are necessary to ensure a reliable energy supply for Connecticut residents – including more crews sooner and better deployed during outages, and heightened preparation for storms."
