NEW BUSINESS:

1.     Topic re: Report out to the Town Council regarding the Berlin High School renovation project. – Town Clerk

2.     Topic re: Approve the request by the Kiwanis Club of Berlin to waive the fee application of $45.00 for a temporary sign permit. – Development Services

3.     Topic re: Approve accepting a donation of $150.00 from the Spartans Veterans A.C. payable to the Berlin Parks and Recreation Department for use towards the department’s summer youth basketball program’s T-shirts. – Parks and Recreation

4.     Topic re: Waive the Town’s Bidding Procedures and award the purchase of materials from Swan & Associates of Newington, CT since this is a Sole Source Vendor for McQuay Products for three projects for Willard and Hubbard Schools and appropriate $63,603.00 to the Other Receipts Revenue account and the School Department Contractual Services and Projects account to fund for five projects involving heating and ventilation equipment replacement at Griswold, Hubbard and Willard Elementary Schools. – Public Building Maintenance

5.     Topic re: Modify the Town’s Tax Abatement Policy by adding “sit down” restaurants (not fast food restaurants) and new retail developments to the list of eligible projects. – Economic Development

6.     Topic re: Designate that the Pistol Creek property be used principally for recreational and open space uses and to authorize the Town Manager to initiate a process to select a consultant to prepare a recreation and open space uses master plan for the property. - Economic Development
