Berlin Republican Brenden Luddy Wants To Be Conservative Voice At Local Level

Lifelong resident is not happy with fiscal irresponsibility at federal, state and local levels so he is throwing his hat in the ring.

Republican Town Council candidate Brenden Luddy has lived in Berlin his whole life and says he could not stand idly by anymore as he believed the town government went in the wrong direction.

"I have been in town and lived here my while life," Luddy said. "I was tired of seeing the apathy when it came to town government so I decided to try to make a difference.

"I'm not happy with the government at the federal or state level. I think they are spending way too much money and putting the burden on the taxpayers. I see that at the local level too. That's why I am running for Town Council. You have to start at the local level to make a change."

Luddy was nominated to run for Town Council along with incumbent David Evans, Terry Tonina and Charles Paonessa.

The 1984 Berlin High School graduate says he brings something very new to the table as a candidate.

"I am a conservative and that is something definitely different from the current Town Council, he said. "I want the other conservative voices in town to have a voice. Conservatives have been shut out by the current Council.

"If I am elected I will work on their behalf. I will work to do what's best for everybody, the town, the residents, everybody. This council seems to make decisions on their own and shut out the opposing voices."
