Berlin Police Officers David Cruickshank and Ryan Gould were recognized by the Connecticut Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) at an awards ceremony held in New Haven on June 15, 2011. Both Officers were presented with an “Excellence in DUI Enforcement” award in recognition of their efforts to combat drunk drivers.
Officer Cruickshank, who was also the recipient of the 2010 “Officer Jeffrey G. Casner Award” for excellence in DUI enforcement, made 26 DUI arrests and Officer Gould made 18 DUI arrests in 2010. These two officers accounted for 33 percent of all DUI arrests made by the Department in 2010.
