Truck Theft Lands Hebron Man Behind Bars

Police said Richard Fitzpatrick drove off with a truck from Nadeau Brothers, stealing it right from the company's Deming Road property.

A Hebron man is facing charges of automotive theft after allegedly taking a truck from the Nadeau Brothers Foundation property near the Berlin Turnpike.

Officers booked Richard Fitzpatrick, 47, on charges of first-degree larceny Saturday after obtaining a warrant. He was released after posting a $5,000 non-surety bond and is due for arraignment in New Britain Superior Court on Oct. 15, according to police records.

An incident report indicated that officers obtained a warrant after evidence showed Fitzpatrick had driven the truck off the Nadeau Brothers lot, located at 370 Deming Road in Berlin.

Further details, including the kind of truck and how Fitzpatrick was able to obtain it, were not immediately available.
