State Cruiser Involved in Accident; Route 9 Left With Traffic

State police said a Trooper was involved in a crash on Route 9 in Berlin, causing heavy delays to the morning commute.

Traffic is considerably delayed along Route 9 in Berlin Friday morning after an accident involving a Connecticut State Police cruiser.

The accident is not consider "major," state police said, but is causing heavy delays for motorists. It is unknown if the trooper was injured in the crash. Anyone traveling along Route 9 is asked to seek alternate routes.

Although the article said the accident was not "major", when I drove by it it appeared that he had hit the guard rails on the left and somehow landed in the right lane. Back windows were blown out. Rollover? Not sure.
