Making Berlin Streets Safer

Berlin Police Department awards Jeffery G. Casner Award to Officer David Cruickshank.

The Jeffery G. Casner Award is presented to a police department member who is at the forefront of the department in making Driving Under The Influence (DUI) arrests in addition to providing the highest level of patrol services in their district.

Officer David David Cruickshank has been recognized for his efforts to make the highways of Berlin safer for its citizens. Officer Cruickshank is a leader among the Patrol Officers in the Department’s Campaign Against Drunk Driving. He is responsible for making 26 arrests for Driving Under the Influence. This represents 19 percent of all the Driving Under the Influence Arrests made by the Department in 2010. 

He was presented the Jeffery G. Casner Award by Chief Paul Fitzgerald, Deputy Chief John Klett and Casner's brother Bill Casner.
