UPDATED: Firefighters Knock Down Heavy Blaze at Waste Management Wednesday
Heavy smoke and fire reported at a recycling plant in Berlin.

Berlin firefighters on scene at Waste Management on Christian Lane reported the fire under control at 3:34 p.m.

Firefighters from Berlin and surrounding departments are working on a heavy fire at Waste Management at 655 Christian Lane.
Emergency responders were called to the recycling plant shortly before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday for reports of heavy smoke showing. First responders arrived to find smoke and heavy working fire in progress.
Units from Berlin and mutual aid from surrounding towns are on scene working to knock down the blaze.
