Berlin Police Union To Hold Golf Tournament

Proceeds from the tournament will help buy new scoreboard at Sgt. Zipadelli Baseball Field at Sage Park.

The Berlin Police Union is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a fundraising golf tournament, scheduled for June 10, 2013 at Timberlin Golf Course. The organization is very excited about the upcoming golf event and it look forward to a wonderful day at Timberlin Golf Course.

One of its most important goals as an organization has been community giving and the ability to donate to worthy causes throughout its history. In recent years it has ramped up the fundraising efforts, which have enabled it to push  annual donations back to the community to almost $10,000 per year. This year is no exception.

The Berlin Police Union has partnered with the Friends of Berlin Baseball, the Berlin High School Boosters, and the Town of Berlin to give Sgt. Zipadelli Field, which is located at Sage Park, a much needed facelift.

Together with its partners the Union will purchase and install a state of the art scoreboard at the park. Projects and commitments of this magnitude take substantial resources and we are extremely proud to be in a position to be the primary financial support behind this endeavor. Our support of this acquisition and many other community events and projects would not be possible without the unwavering backing we receive from individual citizens and businesses alike. Going forward, the Berlin Police Union will continue to embrace such projects and charitable donations.

The registration fee for the tournament is $150 per player, which includes greens fees, cart, lunch, dinner, participant gift, and prizes.

The Berlin Police Union would like to invite golfers of all ability to come out and support local charity while enjoying a day of golf at Timberlin Golf Course.  Registration Forms can be mailed to 240 Kensington Rd. Berlin, CT 06037 C/O Shawn Solek or online registration can be completed at the tournament website,
