Berlin Police Blotter: Two Charged in Turnpike Larceny

The following arrest information was provided by the Berlin Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two men are facing burglary and larceny charges after an investigation revealed they attempted to steal items from a property along the Berlin Turnpike. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Berlin Police Department reported the following arrests:

Nov. 22


Matthew V. Rucci, 23, of 35 Patriot Lane in Newington, was charged with fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief, Nov. 22.

Thomas John Pragluski, 33, of 31 Florence St. in New Britain, was charged with second-degree threatening, fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief, Nov. 22.

Peter Berlandy, 26, of 91 Helm Drive in Farmington, was charged with driving under the influence, Nov. 25.

Bryan Meehan, 33, of 111 Hart St. in Berlin, was charged with driving under the influence, Nov. 25.

Nov. 26

Melvin Silva, 54, of 56 Webster St. in Meriden, was charged with driving under the influence, following too close, refusal to submit to a chemical test, evading responsibility in an accident, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle under suspension, failure to insure motor vehicle and misuse of registration, Nov. 26.

Nov. 27

Ani Hovhannisyan, 22, of 386 Woodbine St. in Brooklyn, N.Y., was charged with failure to drive a reasonable distance apart and operating a motor vehicle without a license, Nov. 27. 

Nov. 28

Steven Xavier Rivera, 20, of 22 Homecrest St. in Newington, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, Nov. 28.

Nov. 29

Debra O'Shea, 44, of 354 Berlin Turnpike in Berlin, was charged with illegal possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree failure to appear, Nov. 29.
